Showcase Artifact 2
Showcase Artifact 2 features an honors experience from my undergraduate career in the Kelley School of Business. I chose to feature Honors Integrated Core (I-CORE). Honors I-Core at IU Indianapolis is an intense, cohort-based program within Kelley. It combines finance, marketing, operations, and team dynamics/leadership into a single immersive experience, culminating in a real-world project.

Honors I-CORE (Spring 2024)
This combination of courses, taken during the second semester of my sophomore year, is designed to develop critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while offering a more rigorous and in-depth approach compared to the standard I-Core.
This semester of Honors I-Core introduced an exciting new element: the integration of AI into our project. Rather than collaborating with a local business, my cohort was tasked with solving a real-world industry challenge using AI-driven solutions.

My team, Team Leverage, developed Interior Intelligence, an AI-assisted interior design app. This innovative platform analyzes users' style preferences to personalize their living spaces while seamlessly integrating shopping features through partnerships with vendors such as Ikea and Pottery Barn.

Reflection
I-CORE is tough. The main lesson that I took away from the experience was that the harder you work in the program, the more you will get out of it. In addition to the countless hours of working on group deliverables for each course, I found myself having to independently study for 2-3 exams in the same week. I would compare my experience in I-CORE to building muscle. When you work out, you stretch/strain your muscles. It is uncomfortable, painful, and sometime makes you want to give up. However, these temporary feelings are necessary in order to grow stronger. Multiple times during this particular semester, I found myself feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and lost. Exiting the experience, I built resilience, skills, and confidence in myself. All I had to do was embrace the stretch.
